Connecting Homeschool Educators and Families
Blue Ridge Homeschool Association is a collaborative community of experienced homeschool parents and professionals dedicated to enriching students' learning experiences through small group classes. Based in the Tri-Cities area of Tennessee, we offer virtual opportunities and welcome families from anywhere. Our mission is to provide a safe and supportive environment where students can learn, grow, and thrive.
Homeschooling with Blue Ridge is a collaborative partnership among the parent-teacher, student, and Blue Ridge instructor. Our instructors are committed to providing high-quality learning experiences that families can depend on. In accordance with the laws of the State of Tennessee, the parent-teacher remains primarily responsible for their child’s homeschool education, while Blue Ridge serves in a supplemental role, offering instructional support for the course enrolled.
Students are expected to complete assignments in a timely manner and to the best of their ability. Parents play an essential role by supporting their student at home, assisting with assignments as needed, and maintaining open communication with the instructor regarding any questions or concerns.
Class offerings vary from year to year and include core subjects such as English, Math, and Science, along with a variety of electives.
Class sizes range from 5 to 12 students, providing a supportive environment where instructors can give personalized attention.
Our instructors are passionate about their subjects and committed to helping each student succeed.
Blue Ridge instructors utilize Google Apps to facilitate instruction. Students are required to use Google Classroom, Google Meet, and other Google Apps to participate fully in their classes. Parents may set up free Google accounts for their students to ensure access to these tools.
