Becky will lead a live interactive Algebra I class using Saxon Algebra I each week for 30 weeks averaging three lessons per week. All students will receive personalized feedback for each assignment. This course is designed to help students strengthen their understanding of solving more complex mathematical problems and functions. It is particularly beneficial for students who need additional support with advanced math concepts. Students who learn best through repetition and structured instruction will benefit from this course.
Topics covered include signed numbers, exponents and roots, absolute value, equations and inequalities, scientific notation, unit conversions, polynomials, graphing, factoring, quadratic equations, direct and inverse variation, exponential growth, statistics, and probability.
Students are expected to participate using a microphone and webcam to help create an interactive, supportive classroom environment. Class sizes are kept small, with a 10-student maximum, to ensure each student receives individual attention.
This course includes meeting 30 weeks, 90 minutes each session.
Total Class Fee: $225 per year
In total, students will attend 30 classes (90 minutes each). This breaks down to just $7.50 per lesson, and includes lesson planning as well as grading of all assignments.
In addition to the instructor’s fee, this cost also helps cover the tools and resources needed to run the course, such as Google Workspace, course material, instructors guides, and other necessary supplies.
Class fees can be paid in three installments for your convenience. A nonrefundable deposit is due in June to reserve your child’s spot in class. The remaining balance will be divided into two equal payments, each due three weeks before the start of the semester. Please note that payments become nonrefundable after the listed semester due dates. You are also welcome to pay the full balance at any time.
