Christina D. is an experienced homeschool educator and IEW-trained writing instructor dedicated to developing confident, capable writers. She brings years of co-op leadership and classroom experience, equipping students from elementary through early high school with the skills they need to communicate clearly and effectively.
As a homeschooling mother of three, Christina offers both professional expertise and personal insight into the challenges students face—especially when approaching writing. She specializes in guiding reluctant writers past the intimidation of the blank page, using the proven Institute for Excellence in Writing (IEW) Structure and Style method to provide clarity, structure, and confidence.
For the last four years, Christina has taught IEW in co-op setting while also serving as Director of a local virtual homeschool co-op. In 2024, she added co-director of an in-person program to her tasks. Her leadership reflects a deep commitment to cultivating meaningful, supportive learning environments where students are encouraged to grow and thrive.
Christina holds dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Mass Communication and Sociology from Emory & Henry College. She also enjoys teaching literature, science, art, and hands-on crafting, enriching her classes with creativity and connection.
